1 Medical Disclaimer
Caring Vision Therapy is a clinical practice, not a medical publishing organisation. Information about conditions, symptoms, and treatments on this website reflects the clinical knowledge and experience of our team and should be used to inform - not replace - a professional clinical consultation.
- Reading about a condition on this website does not mean you have that condition
- Treatment descriptions on this website describe our general approach; your individual programme will be tailored to your specific clinical evaluation
- No information on this website is intended to guide self-diagnosis or self-treatment
- In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately - do not seek information from this website
- Paediatric health decisions should always involve the child's GP, paediatrician, or relevant specialist alongside our clinical recommendations
2 Editorial Mission
Our editorial goal is to provide accurate, evidence-based, and accessible information about vision therapy, neuro-optometric rehabilitation, and functional vision conditions - helping patients, parents, and caregivers make informed decisions about seeking specialist care.
We are committed to three editorial principles:
Evidence-Based
All clinical content is grounded in peer-reviewed research, clinical guidelines from recognised bodies (COVD, NORA, AAO, AOA), and our own documented clinical experience. We do not publish unsubstantiated health claims.
Transparent
We clearly distinguish between established clinical evidence and areas where evidence is emerging or debated. We acknowledge the limits of current knowledge and update content as evidence evolves.
Clinically Reviewed
All health-related content is reviewed by at least one of our COVD-certified clinicians before publication and on a regular review cycle thereafter.

5 Review & Update Process
Initial Drafting
Content is drafted based on current clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed evidence by a member of our clinical or content team
Clinical Review
All health claims, treatment descriptions, and symptom information are reviewed by at least one COVD-certified optometrist before publication
Publication with Review Date
Content is published with a "Clinically Reviewed" timestamp. Treatment pages display the name of the reviewing clinician and the review date
Annual Review Cycle
All treatment and clinical information pages are reviewed at a minimum of once every 12 months, or sooner if significant new evidence or guidelines are published
Triggered Updates
Content is updated immediately if new clinical guidelines, significant research, or safety information requires a change to published information
6 Our Commitment to Health Content Quality
Health and medical content falls into the category that search engine quality guidelines classify as "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) - content that can significantly impact a person's health, safety, or wellbeing. We take this responsibility seriously.
Our commitment to content quality includes:
- We never overstate the evidence. Where clinical evidence is strong, we say so clearly. Where it is limited or emerging, we say that too
- We never understate clinical complexity. Vision conditions affecting children's learning or adult neurological function are complex; we do not oversimplify at the expense of accuracy
- We do not publish paid health content. No content on this website is written or influenced by commercial sponsors, pharmaceutical companies, or device manufacturers
- We distinguish education from advertising. Service descriptions are clearly our own clinical offerings; educational content about conditions is clearly separate
- We link to authoritative sources. Where we reference research or guidelines, we provide direct links to PubMed, clinical society websites, or our own academic publications
7 Correction Policy
We are committed to accuracy. If a factual error is identified in our clinical content, we will:
- Acknowledge the correction in good faith
- Correct the error promptly - within 5 business days for clinical safety information, within 30 days for other content
- Note the correction transparently on the relevant page
To report a factual error, please contact our editorial team: caringvisiontherapy@gmail.com with the subject line "Content Correction".
8 Conflicts of Interest
Caring Vision Therapy is an independent private clinical practice. We declare the following regarding conflicts of interest in our editorial content:
- We do not receive payment from device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, or any other commercial entity to include or promote their products in our clinical content
- Our clinicians do not hold financial interests in the products or equipment referenced on this website beyond standard clinical practice equipment
- Service descriptions on this website do describe our own fee-based clinical services; this is disclosed transparently
